2. Play Disc Golf:

Have you visited The Pines Disc Golf Course yet? If not, Spring is a great time to get out and learn to play. Pick up sporting goods locally at Lind's Home Center!



3. Meet New People:

Want to see some new faces? Come out to Common Ground Pop Up Coffee Shop twice a month. These events are fun, free, and social! Enjoy coffee, tea, and so much more. Looking for more local business connections? Come to the next Business Owner Meet Up in Cashton!


4. Volunteer:

If you have some time on your hands, consider volunteering at one of the many awesome organizations in Cashton. View the list of groups looking for more volunteers. Greener Cashton is a group of community members looking to reduce plastic waste in Cashton. They work together to make washable, reusable bags from donated t-shirts. Learn about getting involved with Greener Cashton. Another easy way to go green this spring is to pick up trash and recyclables as you find them around town. Or, combine cleaning up and working out by "Plogging" on your next run.

Speaking of cleaning up, there is science to back up the fact that decluttering your home has positive mental health benefits! Start with the Village Wide Rummage Sale May 10th, 11th, and 12th. Then, get your yard in order with the Spring Clean Up Day on Monday May 13th. If you have unsold items after the Rummage Sale, consider donating t-shirts to Greener Cashton and everything else to Cashton Cupboard and Closet.


7. Learn Something New:

Learning new things is great mental exercise, and can be a lot of fun when done with friends! Learn to knit with the Knitting Group at the Library (Tuesdays from 1pm-3pm), volunteer with Scenic Bluffs and practice your Spanish language skills, or gather some friends and try recipes from local producers like Organic Valley, Maple Valley Cooperative, or Pasture Pride.

Cashton is close to such awesome scenic beauty, and spring is a great time to get out and enjoy it all! There are many nature destinations nearby with fun activities like camping, fishing, hiking, trail biking, horseback riding, and more!

Shake up your routine by remembering the importance of PLAY! Come to the Community Hall on May 11th from 4pm-6pm for a free Community Game Night with Gamers Sanctum of Sparta. Guaranteed fun and laughs! Or, try adding color and fun to sidewalks with these chalk ideas!
