NOXIOUS WEEDS REMOVAL
Notice is given to the owners/occupants of property in the Village of Cashton that noxious weeds must be destroyed on all lands in the Village of Cashton which the person owns, occupies or controls. Such weeds shall be destroyed prior to the time in which such plants would mature to the bloom or flower state. A 5-day written warning may be given to the owner/occupant per Village Ordinance 8-1-4. The Village may then destroy the noxious weeds at the expense of the owner/occupant per State Statute 66.0407.
REMOVAL OF DOG/CAT FECES
Notice is given to the owner or person in charge of any dog or cat that they shall not permit solid fecal matter of such animal to deposit on any street, alley, or other public or private property, unless such matter is immediately removed by said owner or person in charge. The owner or person in charge of the dog or cat must also prevent accumulation of animal waste on his own property by regularly patrolling and properly disposing of the fecal matter. Per Village Ordinance Sec. 7-1-9.

LARGE APPLIANCES & METALS
Bring during Drop-Off hours. Inquire at the Village Office regarding Disposal costs before dropping items off. Prices are:

Refrigerators, Freezers, Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers - $25.00 (If freon has been certifiably removed the cost is $10.00)

Water Heaters, Washing Machines, Dryers, Stoves, Dishwashers, TVs, Trash Compactors, Furnaces, Microwaves, Computers - $10.00

Tires - take to Recycle Center and the fee will be collected by the attendant.

Furniture Items - Collected at Recycle Center during drop-off hours.

Used Engine Oil - Drop off at the Recycle Center
REMINDERS
If there is any variation of hours of business at the Recycle Center, they will be published in the local newspaper and posted on the Recycle Center building.
Please separate materials as listed on this page. Recyclables that are not properly prepared or separated will be refused at the Recycle Center and also will NOT be picked up during our Wednesday morning pick-up.
Brush may be left at the end of your driveway to be picked up by the Village. Please notify the Village Office at 608-654-7828 if you have brush that needs to be removed.
There will be a recycling attendant on site at all times. If help is needed, it must be requested.
CURB-SIDE PICK-UP

Glass Containers - remove caps, covers, metal rings and discard. Rinse out. Labels may be left on. Don't break glass jars & bottles

Tin Cans - remove labels, rinse out & flatten if possible.

Newspapers - tie in bundles or put in a paper grocery sack. Discard ALL slick or shiny inserts. NO MAGAZINES.

Corrugated Boxes - flatten, tie in bundles or put in easy to handle box. NO POP/BEER CARTONS or FOOD/DETERGENT TYPE BOXES.

Plastic Bottles & Pails - remove and discard caps and any metal handles. Rinse out and flatten if possible.

Aluminum Cans - Accepted without payment. For payment, cans should be taken to an aluminum recycling service.
*ITEMS NOT LISTED ABOVE ARE CONSIDERED NON-RECYCLABLE AT THIS TIME - Pyrex glass, window glass, light bulbs, mirrors, china, styrofoam, melamac, waxed or sticky type papers including envelopes, glossy paper and film plastic.
YARD & GARDEN WASTE
Yard waste, garden waste, pine needles, etc will be brought by the residents to our compost pile, located on Fred Street.
DUMPSTERS
We have dumpsters available for construction waste. The cost per dumpster is $50.00/drop plus a tipping fee.
